harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 1,464 Posted October 27, 2023 I’ve just read the Piers Paul Read book about the 1972 Uruguayan rugby team Andes plane crash, made into the Alive film in 1993. Fascinating story, it’s amazing what the human will to survive can accomplish. 16 of the 45 died, and a surprisingly high total of 14 are still alive, though they were all youngish of course, and are mostly in their mid 70s. There were already only three in 2005 and Mayer Franck died in 2012, I am quite sure this leaves Lilly Millner the last holocaust survivor in Finland.
