I just read on Facebook that Blackjack Mulligan has died.

I would it were true as it would send the Deathrace 2016 into a tizzy, but besides a fe supposed tweets not much to verify.

Not sure what's sparking this and similar other tweets, but I think Kris Travis is officially on the clock.

Possibly stomach cancer.

There's remarkably little chatter about it in the usual channels, but from Twitter chatter, I see that he's had some kind of complication on top of the stomach cancer.

There’s Reportedly More Good News Concerning Bret Hart’s Battle With Prostate Cancer

I hope he hasn't taken a photo of his prostate and posted that up on instagram.

Some tweets saying it's an infection. Given how weak his body already is, I can't see that boding too well for him.

Inflammation in the liver I understand. Which I assume means it's spread from his stomach to his liver as well?

"I was made aware of the comments Jim Ross made on a recent radio interview. I just want to clarify that, while the surgery went well and my doctors and I are optimistic, it is still way too early to declare that it's now a non-issue. I will be monitored every 3 months over the next couple of years as there is a possibility that the cancer can come back. It will be a while before I can say I'm cancer free."

Oh hell, that's it! I'm starting my theme team list for next year. Hart is my Joker.

Bret Hart knows the Sir Creep tropes

From his Facebook.

Sad news about Hayabusa too. He was considered one of the great showman wrestlers of the 90s, spoken of in hushed tones ala Rey Mysterio, but had to retire early after a botched moonsault. Last I heard they were hopeful he might even walk again. RIP.

BBC Sheffield, Friday, 3pm: an interview with Kris Travis "all going well". Hopefully someone will do the honours and listen to it for us.

Lord James "Tally-Ho" Blears, billed as from Manchester, England and who wrestled in the US, sometime wrestling partner of the late Nick Bockwinkel, reportedly dies at 92. http://www.wrestlingnewssource.com/news/41838/Legendary-Wrestler-Lord-James-Blears-Passes-Away-At-Age/

Oh the irony should Blears get a qualifying obit....

One to watch closely, Blackjack Mulligan has had another heart attack. He was already in fairly frail health before this.

– WWE Hall of Famer Bob “Blackjack Mulligan” Windham, who has had several health issues over the years, was scheduled to undergo brain surgery today to help relieve pressure on his brain but he suffered a heart attack on Tuesday, according to PWInsider. Windham, age 72, is currently in critical condition but is awake.

Blackjack Mulligan hospitalised again. http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/669541-wwe-hall-of-famer-hospitalized-bray-wyatt-and-bo-dallas-leave-wwe-raw-tonight-to-be-at-his-side

Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas have left RAW to be at his side. His condition is unknown at this time.

Doesn't sound like a very positive update on Blackjack ...
"PhillyVoice: First and foremost, how is the health of your grandfather, Robert Windham [aka Blackjack Mulligan]?
Bray Wyatt: You know, he’s a very, very tough man. He’s not gonna go until he’s ready to go. All we can do is pray and hope. Like I said, he’s a very, very tough man. So, who knows? I appreciate you asking."

Superstar Billy Graham pulls out of Wrestlemania weekend Axxess, gives reasoning on Facebook.

As with everyone Superstar Billy related, take with several pinches of salt.

I have a potential life and death problem. One week ago I was in the gym training. I was doing some simple free squats on a bench and I broke in half a bone graft that is some 10 years old. The bone started migrating upward and is trying to exit my thigh next to my left hip joint, extremely painful as you can imagine. I immediately drove myself to the wold famous Mayo Clinic Hospital here in Phoenix where I had my liver transplant on October 18th, 2002.

I saw the top Orthopedic surgeon at the Mayo, Dr. Mark Spangehl who is a hip replacement specialist. He x-rayed my left hip and saw that the broken bone had moved upward about 4 inches from its original placement. He also saw on the x-ray that the cup that holds the head of the femur has begun to rotate and I am at risk of a dislocation. I have attached a photo of an x-ray of a total left hip replacement similar to mine for your reference, only my hip replacement is much more complicated than the one attached. This is the hip replacement surgery that Vince had video taped back in 1986 and put it on the WWF programing.

The reason this is a potential life or death surgery that I must have is because I am a diabetic. I have high blood sugar and am taking medication to control it but my numbers are still way to high . Dr. Spangehl told me with the high numbers of my diabetes I am at risk of infection. He said if I get an infection after this upcoming surgery he will have to go in and cut the infection out. If I am still infected he will have to go back in and cut more infected muscle out. The 3rd time he said to save my life he would have to amputate my left leg at the hip.

A bit like Johan Crujff, didn't he give an interview a couple of weeks ago and was seemingly on the mend? But in his case, the timing was right for deadpooling, whereas Crujff's temporary recovery happened around the turn of the year.

I hadn't heard about Travis being on the mend I just assumed based on the Sam Simonesque looking photos of him on twitter that he was dead man walking.

I know he gave a BBC interview recently (which I didn't bother to check) so maybe that's where gcreptile heard it? All else I remember happening since the new year was him privatizing his Twitter to deadpooler's chagrin and him having a liver infection.
