Germany's most popular graffiti sprayer, OZ, is dead at 64. He apparently died in an accident doing what he loved most:

He gained national notoriety when he was accused of vandalism for spraying his name tag more than 120.000 times at Hamburg walls, which triggered a discussion about the artistic merits of graffiti.

Lilli Carati, a kind of Italian Barbra Windsor who parlayed her beauty queen success into a long run of cheap-but-popular sex comedies in the 1970s, dead at 58. Unlike Babs, she later became a heroin addicted and did hardcore pornography with Rocco Siffredi.

Australian one-time actor Gough Whitlam (1916-2014) died a few days ago. I know it's been mentioned elsewhere but technically he also belongs in here.

Off-Topic: Does my signature make it look like a guy named "Alfredo Di" died but another named "Stefano" is still alive? Just wondering...

Does my hand make it look like I'm signalling "M." to some guy and "iddle finger" to another? If it does I apologise.

They should give you a warning for this shit. When was the last time the mods dished one out...

Granted, it may appear "trollish" to mention a former politician in an actors thread but it's actually not. In 1937, Gough worked as a small-time actor/bit player in an Australian film. While his role was insignificant, fact still remains: he has a movie in his resume. It's mentioned in his own thread here btw.

If Paul or anyone else wants to warn me, I won't mind, but I don't think they deem my post as "warn-worthy".

I thought when this thread started it was meant for people from foreign language countries(Ie non english speaking) since there is already a thread for Australian and Canadian celebs.

A substantial amount of Canadian films are in French (Quebec) so those would be better placed here. As for Australia...well, what if some Aborigins make a movie in their own language?

Do you mean that Australian and Canadian celebs speak English?

Regardless of language, I think the point is that there are dedicated threads for Australians and Canadians.

Hardly a recent death but police confirm a body found in June was Yoo Bgung-eun, boss of the ferry firm involved in the disaster in South Korea.

http://www.bbc.co.uk...d-asia-28413651

In related news: South Korean prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for the captain of the Sewol ferry, Lee Joon-seok. That may cheer up cpt Schettino a bit.

Hein

Oi!

Oh, look what I trolled. :P

Actually, when I was in 'Straya I had no trouble understanding the people there, who were all non-celeb. They often made remarks on my Pommy accent, though.

Hein

I just learned that Marina von Ditmar, best known for playing Sophie von Riedesel in Herr Goebbels' 1940s version of Münchhausen is still alive at the grand old age of 97. She only has a German Wikipedia page, not an English one, so the chances of a UK obit are virtually nil but I'll put her on the list above anyway. ;)

http://de.wikipedia....rina_von_Ditmar

She apparently comes from a noble family of Estonian and Lithuanian knights.

Appearently, she passed away in September. So she didn't make it to 100.

There's an interesting picture on that German Wikipedia page:

This is, presumably, a scan of a death notice in the German newspaper Saale-Zeitung of 6 September 2014.

What caught my attention is the bit of text at the bottom, which asks for a donation to charity instead of flowers. I wasn't aware such a request (not in the Netherlands) is also a German thing. How's that in other parts of the world?

regards,

Hein
