Poor Zara Nutley doesn't stand a chance of an obit with all these huge deaths.

A few of us at least will remember her fondly...

Actually, is there a 'mind your language' thread in the vaults...?

Barry Evans death was 'iffy' if I mind right, and that would've been in the forum.

IIRC, he had left acting and was a Cabbie.

Died in suspicious circumstances?

First news source I've seen reporting Zara Nutley's death. New Zealand though......http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/celebrities/87664559/2016-was-a-brutal-year-for-celebrities--heres-who-we-lost

Maybe she'll get a mention in end of year round ups.

Looking around for something else, I stumbled across the fact that Scottish character actress Edith MacArthur (High Road, Taggart, the underrated Omega Factor, Hamish MacBeth, practically everything remotely Scottish on TV ever...) is still around, and 91 in March. Was convinced she'd died ages ago.

If that's the Zimmers, that's a thread in itself.

She was also a Grange Hillian.

That's another well known face that I never knew the name of.

Following on from the Death of Gordon Kaye and the continuing existence of Bernard Hepton and my own unique DDP Clifford Rose I have compiled a list of 20 Secret Army survivors

  1. Bernard Hepton
  2. Jan Francis
  3. Angela Richards
  4. Christopher Neame
  5. Clifford Rose
  6. Michael Culver
  7. Juliet Hammond-Hill
  8. Ron Pember
  9. Eileen Page
  10. Maria Charles
  11. Gunnar Moller
  12. Stephen Yardley
  13. John D. Collins
  14. Hazel McBride
  15. Paul Shelley
  16. Terence Hardiman
  17. Michael Byrne
  18. Stephen Chase
  19. Bruce Montague
  20. John Ratzenberger

Not all of them will necessarily obit but many of them may be noted on Twitter. Big crossover with Blakes' 7 and Doctor Who

I'm always surprised by how few of these British actors I've ever heard of. But then I don't think any of those shows these obscure actors played in ever were successful outside of Britain... except for the American remakes. It's a bit sad, actually.

Many of these actors worked extensively on the stage both before and after Secret Army.

Christopher Neame has appeared in Babylon 5 and Star Trek as well as in Ghostbusters II and License to Kill.

Terrence Hardiman is best known for his portrayal of the Demon Headmaster in a BBC adaptation of the Gillian Cross books.

Jan Francis went on to the long running sit-com Just Good Friends.

I suspect many of these actors you may recognise the face but not the name.

Maybe. But then I have to confess we don't get much British tv shows here, and apart from Doctor Who there are mostly Benny Hill Show and and Mister Bean reruns. Blackadder or Monty Python's Flying Circus haven't aired in years.
