alt obits guy 3,371 Posted June 1, 2022 Paul Vance, a songwriter and horse owner who penned the song Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini, has died. He was 92. Vance's death was reported prematurely in 2006 and discussed in the Deathlist Forum at the time. Among the other songs he wrote or co-wrote was Playground in My Mind by Clint Holmes. His son, Philip, was the child vocalist on the song. Yes, I'm well aware of his career as a 'pop star', with a jobbing sideline in co-writing about a thousand of the world's best-loved songs. Nothing against Dame Livvy or her fans, but his life's artistic output meant slightly more to me than ON-J's.
