A bit part character actress too, she had parts in Emmerdale, The Royal and Heartbeat.

Oh aye, and...Ernie Rae (b. 1945) presented his final Beyond Belief today - not sure we can read owt into that other than an old gadge deciding to focus on the few things that really matter to him. He's big on working towards wider religious understanding - so, putting in the work ahead of his final exams, then

It’s prostate cancer. The article says so. He was diagnosed at 58 and underwent radiotherapy and hormone treatment and was initially told he had a more than 80% of being cured but a routine scan two years later showed it had spread to his bones including his spine and neck and also his pelvic lymph nodes. He has had five or so types of chemotherapy. He had a treatment recently of being injected with nuclear fluid but it was unsuccessful. He is currently on hormone treatment. His exact words are ‘I shall probably not celebrate my 80th birthday. I doubt the treatments will be good to keep me to [a lifespan] I would otherwise have had but they are keeping me alive at the moment, and probably will for quite a long time to come.’

 

He has written a memoir which is being published soon and found out recently his obituary has been prepared (Doesn’t say by who. The BBC. The Telegraph?)

According to Susan Rae's son, her dementia is now "at mid-stage and if you didn’t know about her condition, you probably wouldn’t know anything was wrong. She continues to learn new things, has deep conversations, [etc.]"

Times obit reveals that Sir Paul Fox died yesterday (8th April) from stroke complications.
