That's 3 'famous' centenarians gone in the last few hours. I wonder if Dame Vera or Olivia de Haviland will finally be included in the latest batch..They always seem to go in clusters for some reason, like no 9 buses  ! .

Think CoffinLodger is also counting John Manners, 105, whose death was reported in the same time frame.

Dame Fanny Waterman will be 100 on 22 March - heard her on Radio Four this morning regretting allowing herself to be edged out of piano teaching and her leading role at the Leeds Piano Festival a few years back when she was a mere 95

Patil Puttappa dead at 101.

What a mess. He was clearly substantial to Indian porn industry, like the late Sudhakar Chaturvedi.

Also, why mention his age when you already know it?

Oh aye, a shoo-in, though she sounded like all her marbles were intact. Made me wonder who the oldest person is to win a legal case about ageism.

I hate to sound disrespectful, but am I the only person who thought when they first saw that pic that it was the comedian Paul Whitehouse in a wig ?
