RadGuy 1,614 Posted February 4, 2017 He died Joost in time to get us ahead of last year's list. This puts Golden Slumbers at 62 points! Congrats to whoever's team that is.

The Dead Cow 620 Posted February 4, 2017 South African Sun announcing his death. http://www.dailysun.co.za/Sport/rugby-legend-joost-van-der-westhuizen-has-died-20170204 I would take that with a pinch of salt, it's quoting what appears to be false information which was posted 2 hours ago. There has been no confirmation from the J9 Foundation since then.
Joey Russ 7,220 Posted February 4, 2017 I seriously just put him on due to the 13 points. Now I know I should've jokered him.

drol 11,912 Posted February 4, 2017 Yes, comments on the Springbok Rugby Club seem to deny it. It's completely fake, they should have waited some hours.
drol 11,912 Posted February 4, 2017 I did not put him in my DDP team because ALS is unpredictable. A relative of mine was diagnosed in her late fifties and given a life expectancy of 6 years, while she died at 72. Joost is now really fucked but he was not a dead cert by any mean. The Mad Hatter 1,092 Posted February 4, 2017 He died Joost in time to get us ahead of last year's list. This puts Golden Slumbers at 62 points! Congrats to whoever's team that is. not to mention getting us points in the death list cup. Sad that a man like him has to go through this awful disease while Robert Mugabe will probably die peacefully of a heart attack.

RadGuy 1,614 Posted February 4, 2017 Joost remains in a stable but critical condition. Please continue praying, the family appreciates all the support from across the world. Half an hour ago, the Facebook page of J9 Foundation posted this. Honestly, I thought he had died when it was announced a couple of hours ago, and it was only deleted because the family wished to have some privacy for a little more before it is released to the public. Well, I'd say he could make it out of the day, but not out of the month. I just hope he doesn't go on his birthday on the 20th - which would make him a 36-point joker! WednesdayAddams 103 Posted February 4, 2017 I find it all bizarre asking for prayers. The poor guy is in a hell of a state, suffering terrible indignities and probably pain too. If it were my family I'd be praying he has some peace away out of it and it's not prolonged. Not wishing the bloke to die, of course, but he's not going to get any better. This is an unbeatable thing that can only get worse.

It just gets worse and worse.

Sean 6,310 Posted February 5, 2017 May I repeat my suggestion for the tag line "Give me Joost a little more time" seems appropriate at the present time.

Guest Posted February 5, 2017 Jesus sounds serious. Jesus was serious. Not too much. His first miracle was turning water into wine because his mam was bashing him to keep a party going. That's my kind of saviour.
