gcreptile 11,371 Posted yesterday at 19:40 Here is a recent gift of his, pointing me/us towards the band The Chromatics: Just 2 hours ago, I was telling my partner "that's a really good song, actually".

I just had an uncanny moment, but uncanny suits Lynch. I've watched the third season of Twin Peaks and thought, Gordon Cole is old. Knowing about Lynch's lung disease, I also thought: too bad he'll probably never shoot anything again. After the episode is over, I look at my mobile phone and ... It's just a shame that Hollywood has made it so difficult for Lynch, as a living legend, to finance film projects for the last 20 years.
DoltonMoney 346 Posted yesterday at 20:28 A friend of mine and I were just discussing this song from Eraserhead before a class. "In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)". Rest in peace to a real legend.
Toast 16,335 Posted yesterday at 21:12 Gutted. I didn't expect this so soon. What a legacy he has left though. Now he is in a place both wonderful and strange.
justonecornetto 1,009 Posted yesterday at 21:18 This shatters me I just loved everything he did. Still trying to process this as I was still expecting him to come up with another incredible piece of film or TV after Twin Peaks The Return RIP David
Slackhurst Broadcasting 383 Posted yesterday at 21:27 Shocking news, despite his age and poor health. Perhaps it's because he is irreplaceable and his influence is so pervasive - for forty years he's been the definition of "weirdness."

Death Impends 8,305 Posted yesterday at 22:01 Bit of an omen, Bluuue Vellllvet was playing on the radio this morning... This definitely feels a Bowie-esque tone setter for the year.

I liked some of his films eg Wild at Heart, Eraserhead, and The Straight Story, yet disliked others such as the exasperating Mulholland Drive, so he goes in the Marmite category for me. I’ve never seen Dune as I doubt it’s my cup of tea, nor Twin Peaks, though I can’t really think why. Anyway, I’m all for auteurs in general, so he’s a thumbs up from me. FinalChapter 77 Posted 23 hours ago Everyone will always talk about how weird and esoteric Lynch’s work was, but his work was much more than that. This scene is still one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever seen on a television show, brings a tear to my eye even now. https://youtu.be/FcsNhIozEPo?si=OPcQ-1X5vp3oeZOq 1

I think that people here also really did not want him to die, especially so soon. He was more-or-less universally admired, and not yet incredibly old. He also said that he'd try to direct from his house, so he clearly wanted to carry on and it seemed like he could.
