Sir Creep 7,070 Posted July 3, 2015 Former Virginia athletic director Jim Weaver has died. He was 70. The university said in a news release that Weaver died Thursday morning. He disclosed in 2008 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and he retired for health reasons in 2013.He served as Virginia Tech's athletic director for 16 years, the second-longest tenure in school history. The company continued to expand, but Shavitz moved back to Maine. He has said he was forced out after having an affair with an employee.
