This thread was started in 2015 and he's still kicking it. For how much longer? Idk... But I doubt it was cancer. Either he's kicking/kicked cancer's ass, it's an extremely slow burn, or he doesn't have cancer and his appearance is just a symptom of being old as dirt. Personally I think it's the last one but who knows? Let's put it this way: I wouldn't be surprised if he were to die suddenly. But at the same time tbh I also wouldn't be surprised to see him make it through another few years. It certainly wouldn't be as shocking as someone like Norm Macdonald. It'll be sad but at least he'd be reunited with Don.

markb4 892 Posted April 24, 2023 So sad! He's survived Ginnie, Don Rickles, and his wife, Barbara. The four were extremely good friends even traveling the world together. Ginnie was also the daughter of American character actor, Bill Quinn.
Lafaucheuse 4,045 Posted April 25, 2023 The real question is : will he attend his wife funeral ? If not then I think he’s fucked

Commtech Sio Bibble 2,028 Posted January 1 Just wanted to point out that the past 3 years have all seen cast members of the 2003 holiday hit Elf dying, in 2021 Ed Asner, in 2022 James Caan and in 2023 Michael Lerner died. Superstition makes me think that Newhart will make it a 4 year streak (either that or Will Ferrell is going to have a very bad year). 7

Three Golden Girls died three years in a row and then Betty White decided to make it to 99. 5

Also in the Elf cast is Artie Lange who's had major drug and alcohol problems for decades. He's basically the NY Comedy Club version of Shane MacGowan.

YoungWillz 21,028 Posted July 18 OldWillz had a slew of his vinyl when I was a boy, that's really how I knew him. I rather liked his eponymous sitcom, was it set in a ski lodge or something? Anyway, RIP to one of the greats.
