Either he's kicking/kicked cancer's ass, it's an extremely slow burn, or he doesn't have cancer and his appearance is just a symptom of being old as dirt. Personally I think it's the last one but who knows? Let's put it this way: I wouldn't be surprised if he were to die suddenly. But at the same time tbh I also wouldn't be surprised to see him make it through another few years. It certainly wouldn't be as shocking as someone like Norm Macdonald. Also in the Elf cast is Artie Lange who's had major drug and alcohol problems for decades.
