Yael Dayan has suffered from COPD for 17 years and it has advanced to the point they've done a tracheotomy on her. She was also in serious condition three years ago.

Apparently not the first time the death of someone still alive has been announced in the Knesset - former minister Amnon Rubinstein was announced dead in 2000 when he was in hospital, still alive 23 years later, now 91.

Coincidentally, she was sitting next to Rubinshtein's empty chair when they announced his death.

Cambodia's longtime dictator/prime minister Hun Sen says he is prediabetic. Some say he could also be "much more ill than he's said".

70 now. Two of his siblings, older brother Hun San and younger sister Hun Sinath are very ill, his other older brother died last year, also his wife Bun Rany has been seriously ill atleast twice in the past.

Qurei was a DDP pick way back in 2007 and 2008, then never picked again.

New article about former US Senator Jim Inhofe that briefly touches on his much-speculated health:

At 88, Inhofe says he intends to remain involved in politics but admits to still suffering the long-term effects of COVID-19. It is the reason, he said, he left the Senate.

“Five or six others have (long COVID), but I’m the only one who admits it.”

Was just thinking of this earlier.

The full clip of all the celebs promoting the "anti-Cake campaign" is on YouTube.

Those who fell foul to it:

Sir Bernard Ingham (1932–2023)
Bernard Manning (1930–2007)
Bruno Brookes (b. 1959)
Rolf Harris (b. 1930)
Noel Edmonds (b. 1948)
Jimmy Greaves (1940–2021)
Sir David Amess (1952–2021)

Ingham feels like a DL name for 2022 to me.

Ingham the latest from the anti-Cake campaign to drop. Rolfie next I would think!

Even when repeatedly proved wrong on this he never retracted or apologised.Even if the old tosser was correct which he wasn't that would still be a cruel mean spirited poisonous letter deliberately designed to inflict further suffering upon someone and a community of people who were going through utter hell.

Former Thai Prime Minister Chavalit Yongchaiyudh "Big Jiew" was on ventilator with pneumonia earlier this month and has also suffered a stroke recently.

Chavalit has been in hospital for two months after a stroke, he was on life support two weeks ago, still it seems he is on the mend.

Thai ancient politicos are overdue. Suchinda Kraprayoon, Anand Panyarachun, Thanin have been frail for years. Chuan Leekapai has been in and out of hospital for a while. Sirikit is a living zombie. And they keep going.

There's also Surayud Chulanont, Prem Tinsulanonda's successor as the Privy Council head, looks a decade older than 79, Meechai Ruchuphan and Chavarat Charnvirakul both of who have never looked very healthy, 85 and 86 and last but not least former foreign minister Prasong Soonsiri, now 95, has had a few falls in the past and smokes a pipe in nearly all of the images taken of him. Prasong Soonsiri is called "The Devil with the Pipe"
