Just wanted to say now that I work in the Louisiana state capital for the House of Representatives, I get internal emails re: the health (or deaths) of former congresspersons from The Pelican State. Now that's inside info!

It was more the fact that she wasn't doing big public speeches at a time when there's media attention of Filipino politics clued me in to her probably not seeing the next six months out.

Was a lawyer and unsuccessful Labour candidate. Former head of the OFT.

 

Not picked for the Scavenger Hunt DP afaik.

Lowell Thomas Jr., a former Alaska lieutenant governor, author, adventurer, glacier pilot and son of the legendary broadcaster, has died.

daughter, Anne Donaghy, confirmed his death Monday to The Associated Press. She said her father died Saturday at his home in Anchorage, Alaska, days shy of his 93rd birthday.

So the story going round is that he was punched during a meeting of Ukip MEPs, fell into a window and is now suffering bleeding from the brain. Farage reports his condition is "serious". Ukip just know how to do leadership elections.

Guido Fawkes blog suggests someone punched Woolfe....and then goes on to say that UKIP's defence spokesman Mike Hookem MEP is currently unavailable for comment
