Farage reports his condition is "serious". Ukip just know how to do leadership elections.Guido Fawkes blog suggests someone punched Woolfe....and then goes on to say that UKIP's defence spokesman Mike Hookem MEP is currently unavailable for comment I put a post in DDP name reject thread this morning which could be a headline tomorrow if he dies: The Kipper and the Corpse. Sean 5,999 Posted October 21, 2016 Just lokked into Bill Clinton geneology and it is bloody awful.His half brother died from a heart attack at 70.He still has a 75 year old half sister who I cant find much about.But yeah his immediate ancestors all died very young. NJD123 23 Posted October 21, 2016 Agree with you - very poor genealogy. Grandparents dead aged 51, 53, 59 and 67. Mother died aged 70. Father died in car crash aged 36. Stepfather who raised him (not a direct relative but the environment you are brought up in must surely impact later health) died aged 59. I don't think this has anything to do with money or geography - just bad genes. Other Presidents from similiar poor backgrounds in the South and MidWest had much better genes. Harry Truman's mother lived to 94, Eisenhower's parents lived to their 80s etc. I think he must have the worst family medical history of any recent US President. Obama's parents both died young but three of his Grandparents lived into their 80s. IMO Bill genuinely might go before Jimmy Carter! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

msc 17,762 Posted October 21, 2016 An interesting aside in the Dudley West 1994 byelection coverage on YouTube is that The Economist did a study of Tory MP mortality rates at the time and forecast that during your average 5 year parliament, an average of ten Tory MPs will die. Blair ruined that stat by getting rid of most of them in 97, of course. In fact, there's only been four sitting Tory MPs to die since the 1997 election - Michael Shersby (64, heart attack), Alan Clark (72, brain cancer), Michael Colvin (67, house fire possibly caused by discarded match) and Eric Forth (61, cancer). In comparison, we've had twenty four sitting Labour MP deaths in the same time period, from a variety of reasons like cancer, suicide, pancreatitis, and overdosing on Polish absinthe.
