Not good enough for the blood thirsty cohort on here. They want him dead yesterday! Why I’ll never know. There are millions of JMLPs in the world. His death will not make an iota of a difference. He wasn’t even ever a national leader, but rather a serial election loser. Not sure why ppl are so eager to see him die.

it has been one of the most camp move of French politic life of the last 40 years, a real scandal at the time and is always regularly discussed nowadays, I suggest you search for the pictures, they're real fun.

I can confirm that…Previous years the DL commitee chose 2 French picks but these year only Le Pen…sad many French names famous at home are not well known abroad…Even a name like Bernadette Chirac as former french lady is not considered while a former first lady of the Philippines whose name I never heard her, she is.

I live in the U.S. and can assure you most of us have never heard of Bernadette Chriac, sorry. Imelda Marcos is a bit more known, as her husband held power for over two decades. There is also the notoriety of her lavish lifestyle, human rights violations, and exile. I honestly don't think it's a fair comparison. If it makes you feel better, no former U.S. first ladies made the list, this year or last year.
