Aznavour and Giscard d’Estaing seem to be in good health for their age. Cardin is older but again, not particularly frail. Chirac is a safer bet. The others don’t feel like they belong on DeathList.

Who doesn't belong to the Deathlist? Alain Delon and Belmondo?! Really?! These are two of the greatest and most popular actors of all time and are bigger than most of the entertainment names on this year's list. They are certainly much, much bigger names than Leslie Phillips, Honor Blackman and Jill Whatsherface.

Not in the UK (where the Deathlist is based), but general point taken.

Global fame of Leslie Phillips vs Alain Delon is a toss-up if you ask me. Might just give it to Delon because he was a bigger star at his peak, but Phillips has Potter in his back catalogue for the kids.

Admittedly, Delon has at least one live-action Asterix the Gaul film.

Honor Blackman and Leslie Phillips are pretty famous, but Jill Gascoine is almost unknown outside England. Delon is faaaar more famous than her.

And Scotland.

Don't forget, she was once a villain in Taggart.

Since we are talking French names, what about Claude Lanzmann (1925- ) ?

Director of inarguably the greatest documentary of all time, and recently nominated for an Oscar, wrote and directed eight films on the Holocaust and Israel. He was friend to Jean-Paul Sartre, director of a prominent cultural journal and of course a controversial filmmaker. 100% Deathlist-y.

You'd rather have some old French guy in with no known health issues than the lovely Jill who has sadly been in a care home for 3 years now due to her advanced Alzheimers?

It is true that old people die but just picking random old people is just a shit way to select a death list.

Yes, it's one of my favorite movies. Your wife has good taste in cinema, maybe SHE will appreciate having Mr. Lanzmann on the list ;)

As for Delon, Belmondo and of course Lanzmann, I wasn't implying that they are more ill than Ms. Gascoigne, I was simply responding to the poster who said that they were not notorious enough for the Deathlist - which is completely ridiculous - so I brought up Jill, Leslie and Honor as examples of names who are much more obscure.
