PD James, but she'd better be PDQ.

Confirmed now. As we all know, deaths come in threes and there we have it with Eleanor Parker, Peter O'Toole and Joan Fontaine departing.

I voted Olivia de Havilland - she can die now she's outlasted her sister.

I think we should get Chris Kamara up to Texas for the latest developments. "Unbelievable, Jeff. Price was a goner then, all of a sudden, he's back from the dead! Game on..."

Also, Ray Price's family are fucked up and his wife, son and sister-in-law are all clearly fucking deranged human beings and I am happy for Ray that he's now able to spend some time away from them.

Political experts believe he is getting rid of all the military first politicians (older generation) and replacing them with economic politicians to take north korea in the similar direction as china has gone. So in the not so distant future you maybe wearing shoes made in north korea. Except the reality is no self-respecting western company would buy goods made in north korea... oh sorry, they said that about china as well look what hapenned. So this gibbering sub-GCSE man-child has the political nouse and economic vision to re-imagine his famine-ravaged fiefdom as a full-blown economic power-house with gigantic growth potential and the infrastructure to re-tool and compete within the global economy, right? Well, that or he sees killing his own uncle as akin to mastering another level on Grand Theft Auto. For our sake I hope he doesn't but radical change does need to be implemented in South Korea and an idiot as leader might be the instigator for radical change. Deathray, I hope the above is a slip and not the truth about your opinions because if this nouseless mental non-event of a national leader seeks to re-start hostilities with the south...well, on the bright side, I suppose it'd be theme team gold for the DDP as we picked leading Koreans from both sides of the disputed border, eh? A bit like the flagman at last years olympic football I appear to have confused two unmistakeably different countries.

Yeah but doesn't the fact that the Queen doesn't want to fly to SA show maybe she isn't as robust as we all thought? I'm surprised such a flurry of speculation hasn't already appeared in this thread. No No.... As a general rule the Queen does not do funerals. If she started going to foreign dignitaries funerals there would be a careful analysis of each decision to see if there was a snub. She didn't even go to Pope John Paul II funeral and sent Charles to get photomugged by Robert Mugabe. Queen not a contender for 2014.

I see that Charles will represent the Queen at Nelson Mandela's funeral. He propbably wanted to get some practice in before the two big ones.

He's the one showing the milage. If they were cars of the same model, she'd be worth a fair bit more.

I really wonder who will live longer, Olivia or Fontaine. I read somewhere that "de Havilland proactively wanted their mother (who was suffering from cancer) to be treated surgically, at the advanced age of 88, which Joan apparently did not think was a good idea." Now, could this possibly be an indication that Joan Fontaine would refuse medical surgery if such a situation arose for her? And vice versa for Olivia? Maybe the latter one would have an advantage in that aspect and live longer, while the former would value life quality over quantity? Another thing to consider...their feud stemmed from Fontaine sensing that Olivia was their mother's favourite child. Jealousy is a negative emotion, and negative emotions are considered to be counterproductive towards longevity. Would this give Olivia yet another advantage? Olivia doesn't have much of a reason to be jealous of her little sister, because she had a much more successful career (objectively speaking).

The feud between the sisters is still ongoing and remains a classic example of the destructive effects of Hollywood I would say.

Joan Fontaine - an "obscure nobody"? She was one of the top actresses in the 1940's, FFS. Most of us come on deathlist to discuss possibilties for DDP & DL, that's the whole point. This is not a place simply to report deaths. There are other sites for that.
