So beyond his musical importance, he was also socially significant. But on musical terms Haley is at least his equal, possibly even a little higher because there was no shortage of famous jazz musicians in Armstrong's time.

Did watch Münchhausen today. It was a good way to spend a cold and overcast afternoon. It's cleverly made and certainly amusing at times. I particularly liked the Turkish watch. The film shows its age. That made me think: I'm almost two decades younger than it, but film changed quite a bit in that time. Even in the 50s costume productions didn't go out of fashion, but in the 60s they did. Now that we're on the subject of German flicks: Another German director that came to mind is Wim Wenders. I've seen several of his films, and even liked a few of them. At 69 he's still working, so I think he'll be around for a while, but I intend to keep an eye on his health. regards, Hein

Personally, I doubt it. Fort's consistency has been strong, despite the current aberrations. Doubtless this blip will soon pass.

While Rene Anegil is a solid DDP pick, spouse/manager of a famous person doesn't seem to meet the fame or notability bar of the names the Deathlist committee nominate each year. I reckon he is really only more notable then dying cancer ladies and on par with reality tv stars and youtube personalities.

Last person born while Queen Vic was still alive who was also one of Queen Vic's subjects. EDIT: I just did the research and we have 1. 6 people verified to have been born in the 19th Century if you count 1 Jan 1900 as the beginning of the twentieth century. 1A. 14 people verified to have been born in the 19th Century if you count 1 Jan 1901 as the beginning of the twentieth century. 2. Likewise, 14 people verified to have been born whilst Queen Vic was still alive. 3. 2 people (Ethel and Violet) who were subjects of Queen Vic.
