2 points242 posts and a fair percentage are fucking whinges. Shut the fuck up, the forum has been this way for years, or fuck off. Nobody is forcing you to remain.

1 pointThe ardent pedant often falls. Reminds me of when Nerina Pallot seems to have sung, "Safire, Safire, his typo is higher". That joke is dead obscure and not funny, but I'm proud of it. Seriously, what the fuck is this a reference to?

1 pointOffer them a reality show The "prince" once participated in the german reality TV show "Die Burg" (the castle), a show like Survivor, only in a castle and with Z-list celebrities. The most noteworthy event of that show happened when the "prince" peed into the bathwater of another contestant, the It-"girl" (actually It-middle-aged woman) Kader Loth. Then they got into an argument and he allegedly hit her. She sued him and lost, then he sued her and won. If you are so inclined, you can watch a video of the act here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42vrCzUb7Dg.

1 point"He was never as sick as ... he said he was"? Yes and no. He had stage IV cancer, but it wasn't pancreatic adenocarcinoma, the usual, deadly type that kills people within a year. Instead, he had neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer, a rare and less aggressive variant but it still spread over multiple organs like Phantom said, so it qualified as stage IV (since stage IV means one has distant metastases). If you just look at the relevant statistics at the website of the American Cancer Society, you can see that even stage IV neuroendocrine tumours might sometimes be treated with surgery, and then 16% of these patients live for at least 5 years. It doesn't mean he is guaranteed to be cured forever though, as even poor old Steve Jobs died many years after his initial diagnosis. Luckily though, he doesn't have many organs left to which the cancer could spread.(Which makes me ask how he can be fed [intravenously? orally with a special diet?], but hey, at least he's alive.)

1 pointSC, do you actually know what you're talking about or are you just being a total cunt for the sake of it? Wilko had his pancreas and spleen removed along with part of his stomach, large and small intestines. And his tongue! Dont forget his tongue! ........ oh wait, that was just in Game Of Thrones. Carry on.

1 pointDid you post in Deaths of 2015 like you are supposed to as well? I posted two suicides yesterday it would be nice to see the trend continue SC The question of where to post a specific death also confused me at the beginning. I've decided to only post in the "Deaths of 20xx" thread when it's hard to categorize the person or when a category for that person doesn't exist, or if I have nothing else to say about the death of that person except for the fact itself, which I try to avoid however. It should go in both. To not put every single death in the Dead of 2015 voids the forum entirely. So cuss of you and your ilk we gotta search 5 dozen forums. Gracias. That makes sense. Pfft SC If you that bothered about it make a master post detailing every death ever mentioned anywhere on the site... or you could just google your potential picks.

1 pointOr put every single team on Rannoch Moor, throw in balls and let them all play the outstanding fixtures at the same time!! TV gold.

1 pointJust in response to maryportfuncity and Phantom, I agree with you both. Beadle might be remembered by the vast majority as a bit of a TV third rater, but he was incredibly intelligent, his curiosity about life made it all the more sad when he departed. Same with Danny Baker (very much alive), if I was as smart as he is I'd be a w*nker too if asked to interview folks on make up tips. I guess until we start giving TV a bit more respect and placing our celebs more accurately with their talent, we shall denude them of proper heartfelt thanks for their talent (too many so called celebs now have neither talent or ability and grace our screens for no other reason than being in the right place/family/religion/class bracket etc.). Some of the folks on Gogglebox have more talent than some who may appear on obituaries of the famous. And I don't mean to degrade those on Gogglebox, btw, there's genuine talent there.

1 pointDecided to go out today for the first time in ages and got the news about half way through the evening. Some one trick ponies are worthy of being just that. Mr Nimoy, I salute your contribution to popular culture and to be known across generations. Few achieve the ability to be discovered again and again by new fans who may not have even been born yet. Your legacy will live long and prosper and I am glad my life has overlapped yours. RIP Leonard, you were much admired and loved.

1 pointOh good grief a football analogy. Why are Netherlanders so utterly mundane. I blame the featureless flat landscape.

1 point"Who cares?" Good point. Since when did Deahtlist.net become a forum for predicting celebrity deaths?
-
1 pointWho really cares who wins Sunday's match? We don't make you play and we don't make you watch.

1 pointFormer Deputy PM and Kremlin opponent shot dead in Moscow. This could have major repercussions.

1 pointThe only people who will be convicted for historical offences against children are those without power and influence. You will not see any retired senior politicians being convicted or even tried at court. The reason being, they know too much to be allowed to ever appear in court and the possibility of them naming names is unacceptable to the establishment. These convictions of minor celebrities from the entertainment industry are a side show designed to distract public attention from the abuses of the people in power.

1 pointPlenty of solid candidates at the moment like Simon, Woodhead, and Crowe, but I like the idea of a Kirk dying right after Spock, so I picked Kerkorian.

1 pointI met and chatted with the late and lamented Mr Beadle a couple of times and was mightily impressed. The context was meeting at Fortean Times Unconventions - i.e. conferences on all manner of paranormal stuff - and Beadle had amassed a massive private library of tomes on the various topics under discussion, something he could hold forth on with authority and a fair degree of insight and humour. I met Danny Baker when he was on the Six O'Clock Show. For some reason they sent him to our school to interview the kids about their views on make-up. He was down-to-earth but a bit of a w***er.

1 pointPut her in the Fringes forum then.... SC I've been here for ten years, you've been around for less than three months. I'm a mod and you're not. But don't let any of that stop you from telling me how I should post on here. Could you just stick to putting your own posts in the right place and stop telling others how it should be done?

1 pointAye, but will be still be revolving at 45 (a grim joke that only those old enough to have bought vinyl singles will get). It's the Vinyl Countdown! Aye, his final media appearance will be with Nicholas Parsons on Joost a Minute!

1 pointDespite being told he had 90 days to live last year, Walter Trout is back touring again. Could be a good DDP diferential pick in 2016.
