All but two teams anticipated that John McCain would Arizone out this year - the least popular pick in collective score (though Leah Bracknell and Marieke Vervoort are on one less team). machotrouts and time were the only teams maverick enough to bet on the survival of a glioblastoma-addled octogenarian, which has proven a decision as unwise as making Palin your running mate. Both put him very low, meaning there's very little impact on the scoreboard, but it could still prove a crucial death as one of the affected is the current runner-up. 1. theoldlady 4 2. machotrouts 8 3. Quick updates on some of them. Prem turns 98 today! He celebrated his birthday offering alms to a religious authority. Can walk unaided and looks 20 years younger. On the other hand he refused to receive general Prayut who is now Prime Minister citing health reasons. This basically means government's days are numbered. Jean de Luxembourg is on vacation with his family in Cabasson, France. Looking at the photo, he put definitely too much cotton in his underwear, but he looks decent nonetheless. Belisario Betancur could not attend Ivan Duque's proclamation as president citing health reasons. Rumours floating around he does not support the new government. Anyway his health is generally good. Francisco Morales Bermudez published an autobiography which he declares is his political testament. Could not attend the book presentation citing health reasons. Lee Teng-hui had his residence damaged during a storm in South Taiwan. He is doing apparently very well. Milos Jakes released an interview defending his political legacy. No one has plans about dying. It will be a long wait....

Ok, so just got this news. Let us not forget he was a hawk, a warmonger, a trickle-down economist who expected the American people shafted by the banks to work extra hard to bail them out under all that Arizona folksiness. Nevertheless, as is usual with such folks, they realise too late when their God is opening his arms that maybe, just maybe, there's a better way. His denigration of and votes against Trump policies were probably part of that. And let us not forget that probably every game runner including myself has been put to a lot more work for little reward than Joe The Plumber was ever promised. Goodbye John, and good luck.

Feel bad for the McCain family, but I can't really bring myself to like him. For all the good things he did, there was a ton of bad. From saying "I hate the gooks", to singing "bomb bomb bomb Iran", to inflicting Sarah Palin and the Tea Party upon America.

Because he has been heartless and cruel to McCain before he got ill.Wishing him well would be seen rightly as hypocrisy. If Trump had any decency though he would have made a statement apologising for denigrating him and say he is praying for him and his family as some things stretch beyond political arguments. This is Trump though so that won't happen.

ROTTEN LUCK 9/50 21st August 2018 Icelandic actor Stefan Karl Stefansson has died of cancer to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist another success. Stefansson was a highly regarded actor in his homeland, appearing on stage in Shakespeare and Chekhov plays, and appeared in a number of Icelandic TV shows. However, he became world famous for his role as antagonist Robbie Rotten in LazyTown, a popular kid's TV show (for which he self-taught himself English). Stefan was appearing on his 2nd list, and was 43. Despite the best efforts to be Number One, he was only selected in 20th place.

FACTS OF DEATH 8/50 6th August 2018 Actress Charlotte Rae has died to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist another success. She was best known as Edna Garrett in Diff'rent Strokes (a show in which she outlived several of the younger cast), and the character was spun off into its own show, The Facts of Life. Previously to the role which gave her fame, she had roles in all the early regular American TV of the 1950s and 60s, from Play of the Week to The Phil Silvers Show. She also had success as a Broadway actress, twice nominated for Tony Awards. Rae continued acting well into her 80s with appearances in ER and Girl Meets World. Reports of Rae's battle with cancer were widely sourced last year, which led to her debuting on the list in 14th place.

I can't help but wonder if he died yesterday while watching BBC news watching his party implode on itself.
