Hermann Nitsch, Austrian avant-garde artist who worked in experimental and multimedia modes, has died at age 83. He was a main representative of the Viennese Actionism. He made a name for himself with his actions involving slaughtered animals and naked people. His "orgy-mystery theater" with blood, cadavers and entrails became his trademark. One from our long-long list. https://www.spiegel.de/kultur/hermann-nitsch-gestorben-tod-des-wiener-aktionskuenstlers-a-d6d9f1b7-5003-4dd4-a29c-e3aad2885db4

If it were a contemporary drama and a character appears on a daytime chat show and they get a real life chat show host to play themselves to add authenticity to a scene it seems a legitimate pick likewise if a well known person appears in a comedy to provide a significant joke. Imagine Bill Gates being the customer at an IT helpdesk for example I don't see a problem with it in this context Also there are occasions where actors play exaggerated versions of themselves (more often on TV then film though) In particular I am thinking of Wil Wheaton in The Big Bang Theory I also do not see that it gives a player a particular advantage as getting a film combination with three drain circlers on one play bill who are all famous for other reasons is not easy I will think on it during this round but my inclination is to allow it in future rounds

You've sort of lost me with that Biblio mate. I mean sure she is (cough, was), but the two prior to her that put gcr on the hill in the first place weren't. Surely it's the team performance that counts not the last individual that finally stumbles over the line?

As it turns out, only by 10 days was it not a problem. And anyway isn't that a bit like saying not fitting seat belts in cars doesn't seem to be a problem because no car crashed yet? Not that beyond a certain amount of amusement on my part poking fun at @gcreptile's picks for their lack of equity cards was it ever going to be anyway, at least between me and him, had somebody else won, or perhaps more pertinently 'nearly' won only to lose that way, I can't say. I'm with Toast on the 'spirit of the game' but it still amuses me to have beaten a creative laterally thought out 'ringer'. GCR himself has said he would almost have been embarrassed to win. It's all good in the end.....but only by 10 days .

I actually don't mind these picks. They show creativity and lateral thinking. Both winners have come from traditional picks so it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I do see that and there have been no late entries it is really intended for the stragglers rather than the gamers so the late entry period will close on Thursday after that the Masterlist will stand. Also if anyone wants to challenge other players picks on reasonable grounds then please do this by Thursday as well. Acceptable Challenges 1. No theatrical release 2. Actor not appearing in film 3. Actor already dead

It's possible yes, it requires concentration on my side, and I think I got COVID yesterday. I'll know later today, and will remove the team as soon as I find the mental clarity.

I think removing your team is possible but as it's not in my domain as co-host I'll leave that question to Reptile. My deepest condolences, I can't even imagine the utter hell you're going through right now. I've enjoyed your presence here, and while I understand regretting your deadpooling past at this moment, as time goes on I hope you don't kick yourself over it and remember our general sense of community and supporting one another in times of need, and that it's a morbid game but not a sociopathic one. Be well, and I hope you can find peace.
