GEMINEYE 206 Posted January 26, 2022 I predict we have will have the death of an elderly Oscar winning actress from the 60s/70s very soon.- someone such as Glenda Jackson, Maggie Smith or Julie Andrews.

The 4 days inbetween learning of Thich Nhat Hanh's death, and those of Lord Fairn and the Australian rapist, were practically a vacation for me by DDP-in-January standards!

And even that’s not true. Hardev Dilgir seems to be a super obscure Indian to me…
MortalCaso 1,625 Posted January 26, 2022 I think expectations for the year are very high after the start we had. There has been notable names dying yes, but it has slowed down a bit over the last 4-5 days. Really it just went back to a semi-normal state, though still high, compared to normal years. I understand both sides. A Charlie Brown voice actor compared to Sidney Poiter or even Meatloaf doesn't really compare. Same with a fashion designer. All just a matter of perspective as each death and its impact depends on the person. I do believe @Gooseberry Crumble is quite right and we are in the calm before the storm.

Ali 20 Posted February 13, 2022 We are still two months in 2022 there is plenty of time for more hits to occur
Captain Hemlock 742 Posted February 13, 2022 I remember 2020. I was languishing with zero hits going into August on the DDP and then proceeded to get 4 that month, so anything can happen.
YoungWillz 21,037 Posted February 23, 2022 Had a feeling this would be 2016 all over again. Wake me up when the first fortnight dry spell for the DDP occurs.

DDP's somehow still got more hits than there have been days in the year so far (54 days vs 57 hits), but if this continues, won't be surprised if the dry spell happens sometime soon

msc 18,439 Posted February 24, 2022 This seems likely to be the first February without a DL hit since 2012, mind you.

Gooseberry Crumble 5,341 Posted April 4, 2022 Two deaths in two days for the committee. Dare I predict a third death this month? Yes I do and if my feelings are correct I think it would be hard to dismiss the idea the enema is back at full tilt.

I’m sceptic, don’t think we will equal 2020 tbh… maybe if we have a 3rd death tomorrow it could change my mind but I doubt it
