First, I fought the great 70-71 Slade war against Book. Now rages the 78-79 war over The Police with Death Impends.

Never a dull moment here!

Think Book was downvoting Police before I was, not really sure if I can claim to be the lead general here

You know I haven’t done one in a while but I’ll gladly help kill ABBA given they already have like 7 entries in the finale

There was no saving Take a Chance this round, but no @En Passant, it's not 7. That was a number picked by Joey for exaggeration. It's 4. Waterloo, Name of the Game, Knowing Me, Knowing You and Fernando. But there's more to come, so I'll save my votes for a time when they'll matter and I care more than I do for Take a Chance...

Anyway, today's votes:

60 Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights

51 Althea and Donna - Up Town Top Ranking

50 Blondie – Heart of glass

49 Gary Numan  – Cars

25 Blondie – Sunday Girl +2

22 Bee Gees – Tragedy +1

17 Police – Message in a bottle +1

16 The Buggles  - Video Killed the Radio Star - 6

13 Bee Gees - Night Fever

8 Ian Dury & the Blockheads  –  Hit me with your rhythm stick

6 ABBA – Take a chance on me

Why?

Why didn't I like them? Can't recall much now. I just had a strong urge to remove all their music off my itunes. Maybe they don't suit stadium venues?

That's odd, it's been the source their renaissance. They kill it at Glastonbury most years, and it's not been unheard of them drawing bigger crowds than the headliner on the Pyramid Stage. But Stadiums v Festivals - different arenas I suppose.

I've seen them twice,  at the Royal Opera House and the other time in Hyde Park.  That was the Radio 2 festival which was quite laid-back in that they tried to put together a line-up that had something for everyone, rather than appeal to one set of fans.   So the crowd movement was fluid and we were able to get fairly near the front as the fans of the previous act
