maryportfuncity 10,017 Posted December 31, 2022 So, there are - I think - 47 teams in there and what I believe the young and trendy types refer to as a fuck-tonne of jokerage riding on the fragile bones of a few picks whose very hold on life is so tenuous that the next 24 hours might be an ask beyond their capabilities. So, in the great Fifa tradition we'll trial a rule change in full public view without negotiation. This year we'll go in the spirit of awarding points for all days of the year unlived by the talent pool. To put it crudely, if they die on New Year's Eve they score 365 (or 730 if they're jokers). Clearly the masterlist is embargoed until 1 Jan so your carefully crafted squad won't be available for DDP pillage or use in any other pool. There may - however - be a live scoreboard in 2022. Do me a favour and clock that a unilateral decision was made and announced around midnight to count New Year's Eve deaths and award 365 points. Tbh, because there were a few picks so fancied they presented a serious workload if they died today. Also trialling another last minute rule change - a team lacking substitutes once competition is live (Bibliogryphon in this case) have just been awarded a random sub based on the last random sub awarded in competition that is not on that sub-less team (Bibliogryphon's) team. Hence the helpful picture of former astronaut Tom Stafford.
