To be fair the Tories have had quite a recent history of expecting teachers to fill in the gaps in various policies. Adding a bit more to their workload is part of their philosophy.

If only there were any teachers in this place who fancied weighing in on that (heh, I'm not namechecking you, though it was close but ultmately decided "no-fair")

Also the Tories have recent history of being terrible with it policies - the Porn age ID stuff for example.

Not going to matter what they think in a month is it?

It won’t but this is one area where Labour probably won’t be that much better - it seems to be a structural issue in British governance to be bad at IT.

Bringing this back into the realm of reality, has Rishi Sunak got a line of argument why he should be Prime Minister for 5 more years beyond the fact that Labour are going to raise taxes by £2,094? Because it seems to be the only thing he's said for a week now, including several times in his interview with Nick Robinson. I thought Robinson gave him a decent going over. Pulled him up on various things and fought back against his nonsense. Unfortunately, the nonsense is all Sunak seems to have left.

I had the Labour delegation at my door tonight. Everyone else in the house refused to answer the door. They were pleasant and clearly confident that they're going to take the SNP's seat. I told them I'm an undecided voter and they were fine with that, as long as I get the "rotten Tories" out. That's become a Scottish Labour catchphrase.

Just a Scottish catchphrase, ha! ;)

(Except in select areas - but who knows? The ways things are going, even some Tories want the Tories out!).

"Reform candidate said UK should have been neutral against Hitler"

Oh, stand down everybody. It's ok, because he's apologised. Apparently the comments were taken out of context. Obviously. Because, I don't know about you, but I'm always saying in passing that we should have been neutral with Hitler and Churchill was an abysmal leader. Naturally they've said nothing about his praise for Putin in the months before his invasion of Ukraine because his Fuhrer Farage was saying exactly the same things.

Yes I used to get sick of this lot bragging about "winning the war" and boasting about Churchill and whatnot. I never thought I'd say I'd rather they go back to doing that compared to what's come out now.

I'd rather they just fuck clean off to the four corners, but I'm a dreamer.

Showing the Greens on 2 seats, which is more likely that some which say they'll gain in Bristol but lose in Brighton. Also has one seat for Reform, guess where.

More detail here, including interesting observations such as Labour now having a 9pt lead over the Tories among Over-65s.

19% Tory to 17% Reform.

If that switches over... watch the total and absolute fur fly from Conservatives. I can see Rishi being replaced in sheer panic.

That's roughly about 40 seats they think are already in the bank.

Richard Tice here, defending that Reform candidate who made those Hitler comments:

Yeah, that figures. In fairness, when my Nan was desperately ill, I drew on a funny tache and started goosestepping everywhere.

I know it is early on a Tuesday but here's your drinking game at the Tory manifesto launch.

Every time Sunak says "right" take a swig.

Every time Sunak says "plan" two swigs.

Every time Sunak mentions a previous Tory MP, 3 swigs.

Every time Sunak says "apologise", throw your shoes at the telly.

Three weeks and two days and we're voting

Sunak was doing a major interview on the BBC yesterday and this is the front of today's Daily Mail

Pished and shoes still on feet.

Think he mentioned Thatcher twice, and one mention apiece for Lawson, Duncan-Smith, MacMillan, Patel, Cleverley and a couple of others.

Numerous plans and even more rights once you got to questions.

Meantime, voters in Rochdale are about to elect Gary Glitter as their next MP, having mistaken him for George Galloway.
