No one offered to take up the mantle, but doing slimmer obits has made things considerably easier and pretty much "TMIB redux"-proofed the front page. In fact I don't think there will be any changes for next year, rule or personnel wise, outside of acknowledging that The Times is a .com website now rather than .co.uk.
