Quite a few people near 100 or over this past month or two that I would put way ahead of those two. But I appreciate your list.

Is there a thread on the most shocking death of the year? If not, I'd probably say Matthew Perry despite his well-documented addiction issues. While there's been a lot of famous people die in 2023 most of them have been at an age where it wasn't unexpected.

Here are my picks:

January: David Crosby

February: Burt Bacharach

March: Robert Blake

April: Harry Belafonte or Jerry Springer

May: Tina Turner or Gordon Lightfoot

June: Pat Robertson

July: Tony Bennett or Sinead O"Connor, maybe Paul Reubens

August: Bob Barker

September: Jimmy Buffett

October: Matthew Perry

November: Kissinger or Rosalynn Carter

December: TBD, too early, but probably either Sandra Day O" Connor or Norman Lear. If Jimmy Carter passes, it's going to be him. It could be someone completely shocking too.

I've run the numbers and I'm happy to announce that for the fifth year running, the most significant death of every month in 2023 was the 2018 passing of "smokin' big doinks in amish" meme star Young King Dave.
