I'll be hugely surprised if Baker St doesn't walk this. I like it well enough of course but it's almost the text book defintion of overplayed.

Looking at the songs that qualified from the first 8 years of this decade. The only artist to get more than one through so far is David Bowie and you could argue that he has four (as two of the others are with Bowie penned songs)

This round no research is needed as so many of these are on my playlist. Lucky for you it is adult me that is voting here and not 9 year old me otherwise I would probably be giving The Barron Knights and The Dooleys points

I thought, at first glance, this was a pretty uninspiring selection. On second glance, it's still pretty uninspiring, but maybe less uninspiring than at first glance. Anyway faced with a difficult decision, I chose to eliminate the Barron Knights

I saw what you did there, oh yes indeedy.

Tough call between that and this particular BoneyM song for me. Others close behind too...

Is this a principled objection to the Bastardisation of South American history by ALW or aggravating rejection of what should be an anthem for this site?

It contains the fantastic line "Falling over themselves to get all of the misery right"

I always thought Morrissey missed a trick by not providing us with his cover version of that Boney M song.......
