76.

Though his son, Sean, is 41 today. Which means the "Beautiful Boy" is now older than his old man was.

Oops. For some reason thought his birthday was in 1941. Silly me.

Report here of the death of Allan Williams, talent manager and known as the man who gave the Beatles away, aged 86. http://blog.beatlesinlondon.com/allan-williams/

Awaiting the usual confirmations.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allan_Williams

Edit: Mark Lewisohn has confirmed in a tweet.

George Martin, Sam Leach and Allan Williams in the same year. Phew!

Already posted in a tonne of other threads. Not like Thatcher to be wasteful is it?

Is everybody else not referring to Tony Booth the actor? I can't find anyone referring to Tony Booth the Beatles Poster Artist.

Who wil be the next to die: a Beatles musician, or a Rolling Stones musician?

On pure numbers much more likely to be the second - of whom there are plenty who filled in on stage or studio (Robert "Close Personal Friend" Johnson - for example - recently made summat of a comeback and he's younger than the Stones)

Re surviving "Beatles" there are four at most

Paul, Ringo, Jimmy Nicol and Pete Best.

Ironically - if we think of Spinal Tap - ALL their drummers are alive

Rolling Stones I would think seeing as there are more of them alive and they partied longer and harder.

Indeed - but where do we draw the line here?

Given the Stones' massive touring over the years does every backing singer count and/or every horn player? Apart from owt else they've toured this century and employed some help much younger than themselves on occasion.

There is that to consider but even if we look at full-time members  the Rolling Stones still have more .
