She said it in several interview since she was 114 or something like that. David Tavella the guy who worked at her nursing home also said that she died at 2am and that she wanted it, that she wanted to join her brother and that it was a relief for her apparently.

Tired of all the 110 club fanboys i assume.

Surprisingly, the reactions on the 110 forum are much less theatrical than expected, compared to What happened When Tanaka passed for example. Was Randon less popular ?
I find this gem and am waiting for other ones ECB41A85-CD2C-436A-8B5C-9325D83AC48B.jpeg.3a4f1f809fc4e32fb5b64c81cb5844f6.jpeg

anyway, the new french doyenne is Marie Rose Tessier. She is 112. Quite big drop in age.

Susannah Mushatt Jones was the last oldest person to not make it to 117, dying in may 2016 at 116 years old. Since then we've had Morano, Brown, Tajima, Miyako, Tanaka and Randon all making it.

In contrast, after the Calment/Meilleur/Knauss combo, it took more than fifteen years until Misao Okawa managed to reach 117 in 2015.

So in short, only 10 confirmed cases of people living to 117 or older, of which seven occured in the last ten years!

I think, Morera can reach 118 but she must be alive until 2025.

That would help.

Germany's oldest person Charlotte Kretschmann has a SPIEGEL interview, behind paywall:

She's in excellent mental health and doesn't think of dying. She just doesnt want to see a third World War.

Ushi Makishi is only recognized by LongeviQuest, but they're pretty much the same folks as the GRG there, so I expect she'll be verified by the GRG sometime soon. Around a week ago it was discovered that Kimi Kawasaki died in Dec 2022, so JVPM is very likely #11, we'll see if he'll make it to the top 10. When was the last time there was a man in the top ten?

Indian supercentenarian Teli Nigla dead at 131.

Anyway in the first lines of the article his age is reported as 13. Averaging the two numbers you could get a more accurate result.

EDIT: his son T. C. Teli was an Arunachal Pradesh minister who died at 50 in 2014. Old Nigla would have had him at 72, which could be quite unlikely.

I don’t know anything about Robert Young apart from his interest in supercents and that loads of people think he’s a prick. Could someone explain why he’s a prick?

Seems like others built LongeviQuest to compete with the GRG, then immediately kicked Robert out.

Good move. The guy's just unpleasant, and the photos of him with supercentenarians are uncomfortable.
