CoffinLodger 1,248 Posted April 29, 2017 I thought Bush might last a couple more years but after seeing the pic of him with his son in hospital I am n ow convinced he will die this year. That is one very frail old man !

That said if he does it brings us back to six living Prime Ministers with a high chance of reaching 7.

I'm just lightly teasing our resident Norman Tebbit fan, but, if Theresa May does actually fail to win this election, I might actually die laughing... The bookies already take May's win for granted and with the advantage that she has right now and taking Corbyn's unpopularity into account, a really huge scandal would be needed to prevent it. Does anyone happen to have pix of May in the company of rentboys, smoking pot or something?

Deathray 2,941 Posted May 1, 2017 What happens if Bush dies during election results being announced. Will one be covered on BBC News and one on BBC One or will election coverage be interspersed between the tributes?
msc 18,484 Posted May 1, 2017 Not a death, but the news of Krushchev being overthrown in the USSR broke during the 1964 general election night coverage. Iirc they have updates and discussions on it, and what it will mean to the "next government".

JeffreyTheSuperSnail 66 Posted May 13, 2017 George and Barbara Bush had lunch with Arnold Schwarzenegger today. Doesn't look too bad. I think he'll see 93.

Barbara looks MUCH worse. Should definitely be on the list next year and have her own thread.

Joey Russ 7,229 Posted May 13, 2017 Bush Sr still looks a bit frail imo. I think he will see his 93rd birthday, but I don't know how long after that he'll last. I'll estimate his death will come in 3-4 months or so, but I could be wrong.
RadGuy 1,614 Posted May 13, 2017 Barbara Bush and Rosalynn Carter should definitely be on next year's list, they will be 93 and 91 respectively next year. Can't miss out on first ladies dying!
LilyForrester 81 Posted May 14, 2017 George looks a bit better to me, but I still doubt he sees the end of the year. Barbara looks a lot worse then when I last saw her, I was a bit taken aback by how she looked. I'm predicting a back-to-back George and Barbara death though. Rosalynn is likely to pass Bess Truman and become the oldest First Lady ever.

I would say Kennebunkport since both he and Babs are Easterners at heart, Babs being a publisering heiress and all. (Their son W. is more of a Westerner at heart.)
