Dead Drummers

He was a lousy drummer, I have always preferred Lars Ulrich, even though he overuses the snare

Levon Helm has died. :rip::( .

Very sad news for the singing drummer fraternity. That only leaves Stevie G's best mate and Bingo from the Banana Splits. I was going to post The Weight from The Last Waltz, but thought I'd go for a more recent version with Wilco from last year - he's obviously in pain from the throat cancer, but still giving his all. Nice that he allegedly made up with Robbie before he died, hopefully that wasn't just some story for the media.

I feel more like pulphack every day.

I wonder if their drummers will die in the order they were recruited into the band.

According to Slash's Twitter, he is indeed dead.

I could not withheld this from you. Here's a way in which Henley is still bearable to listen too.

He might die listening to this.

The oldest rock n roll drummer,Ed Cassidy from Spirit, has died aged 89.

Shame. 'Twelve Dreams Of Doctor Sardonicus' is a classic and well worth a listen.

Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr has passed away. He was 56

That'll be a unique hit for Funeral Holmes when a proper obit comes through.

Rick Bremmer, drummer for the Stiv Bators Band has died.

I haven't got a link yet for it, but heard the news from fellow band member Frank Secich.

Ah, Stiv Bators, someone who should be celebrated here for no other reason than he died one of the most gloriously needless rock 'n' roll deaths ever. Hit by a car, shaken and trying to shrug off the whole thing, insisted on walking home when the wait in A & E was doing his head in, went to sleep....GONE! I mean, Mark Knopfler would've stayed. Case closed.
