SC While 'cwm' is not a genuine English word, it has made its way into at least one prestigious American ( https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cwm ), and one authoritative British dictionary ( https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/cwm ). By the way, even if <w> is rarely considered a vowel letter in English, it is used as the second element in lots of English digraphs that stand for vowel sounds, like 'ew' /(j)uː/ in 'new', 'aw' /ɔː/ in 'law' and 'ow' /aʊ/ in 'how'.
