Nile Rodgers broke and fell his nose. I'll go start the sweepstakes thread :D

(Eh I made this post to make that little cheeky remark, but take this as a "how's Nile Rodgers doing now?" post.)

So he had an 'accident' falling down the stairs? I hear it often happens to black folk whilst in the custody of the Metropolitan Police: meeting unhappy and unexpected ends on staircases.Well,

that's what the Plods tell the inquests: "it was the stairs wot done it,m'lud"

"These are the good times"
Well remember, musicians drop over in that 68-72 range.  Nile is 65, he's transitioning.  He has 3 years of bungles left in him at the very least.  Should I put this in the prediction thread in case he has cerebral hemorrhage?  I mean if you can't make the top 10 may as well make the bottom 10.

Ah yes, but the one I posted is the one where Roy Young appears sing joint lead vocals with Bennett...

I was going to post their big hit Got To Get You Into My Life on which Young also appears, but there wasn't much of him in that clip.

And you can bog right off if your next move is to go "Grr...that there ain't no Beatles"....:P

So, did he die after tangling with some dodgy crack? (the way some musicians do)

I'll get me coat

Well, they say one night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble.  I suppose you could link it to some dodgy crack...interpreted in whatever context one might wish to use.  :tomatododge::tomatododge:

Vic Elmes, guitarist for Christie who had a number one hit single with Yellow River, apparently died in April 2017: https://www.jeffchristie.com/vic interview.html

Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vic_Elmes

IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0255492/

What's amazing is that the band is - sort of - still going: http://www.jeffchristie.com/

Greg Gilbert's crowdfunded cancer treatment is working:

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/16223191.Greg_Gilbert_s_crowdfunded_cancer_treatment_gives_new_hope/?ref=mr&lp=11

Hmm, I correctly guessed that out of Stefan Karl and Greg Gilbert one would die, and one would survive. Now we know who is who.

Not necessarily, there could be a point later in the year that the treatment quits working, which could kill him. But I do agree he’s more likely to survive the year than not...

Yeah, my mother had a scan which showed her tumour had shrunk to a fifth of its size.  It came right back and she died two weeks later.

If he said it wasn't working the donations might dry up

Yeah, but I don’t see Greg Gilbert as the kind of person who would lie about their treatment...

Let's be honest - you can't always tell

Seriously, I remember reading a press release about Olivia Newton John's Gaia album in the nineties - it's a deep and meaningful song collection about being nice to Mother Earth and all that and according to the press stuff this was prompted by Livvy's new found awareness of the need to preserve the planet for future generations after she had become a mother. You got the feeling the little one would be swamped with love and would grow up emotionally stable and well adjusted. I mean, Livvy would never breed a competitor to Daniella Westbrook and Kerry Katona, would she?

Funny, I just looked in on him yesterday as follow up and he's tweeting away non-chalant.   I won't claim to separate fact from fiction, but one of those is replete with hyperbole, and the other we call fiction.  Fraud antennae activated.
