He was a true legend.

He animated the Noid...

The California Raisins...

and this nightmare fuel.

He was pretty much the big cheese regarding stop-motion animation, at least in his time.

I was referring to the entire film,  The Adventures of Mark Twain, not just the The Mysterious Stranger segment.

Don Lusk 105 today!

Last update I can find quickly is someone being amazed at how mentally fit he still was at his 104th birthday:

Wasn't there a dr in Australia earlier this year who was 104, flew to Switzerland and had an inquest to his mental fitness, which was found to be quite acute?  Maybe Lusk thinking the same thing!

Did a Lusk search today and found this Instagram post from the past week (and definitely recently recorded as the interviewer wishes him an early happy 105th in the second video) where he recounts first meeting Walt Disney:

I had him in a pool last year, but dropped him this year as he seemed to be going so strong.  Remained active right to the end.

Don Lusk dead at 105.

Though he's described as the last animator of Disney classic era it's not true at all, as both Ruthie Thompson and Milton Quon are still alive.

Regardless, Thompson (sic) and Quon lovers better watch Lusk's QO odds, which are looonnnnggg.
Edit: "Don Lusk, one of the last living animators from the classic era of Disney passed away at 105".  Never says he was the last, mate.

As a Disney fan, this is a sad loss indeed. But, I'm glad he lived to the ripe old age of 105.

Now I gotta go edit a lot of my Deadpools, lol!

2000AD artist Ron Smith, who brought Judge Dredd to a whole new audience in the 1980s when it was turned into a weekday Daily Star strip, dead at around 95. DDP pick, I assume a QO will be along in short order.

My first Ron to do one, so hopefully there will be QO, but I’m still waiting for one for Ronnie Moore!
