Janko Lukovski was born in Skopje and died on 6 Nov at the age of 77 in Novi Sad, Serbia, was a Macedonian professional basketball player and coach who played for Rabotnički and MZT Skopje among other teams, was coach of Yugoslavia U21 (assistant) between 82 and 86, Vojvodina among other teams

Charles Jordan, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, died at age 69. He played for one season in the American Basketball Association for the Indiana Pacers. He then spent the rest of his career playing in international leagues, including spells in France and Italy.

Not sure if anybody had him on their radars, but Eric Montross has died aged 52. His cancer was announced back in March of this year. He played for the Boston Celtics (1994-96) and Philadelphia 76ers (1997) amongst others.

Samboy Lim was born in Quezon City and died in Pasig at the age of 61 on Dec 23, he was a Philippine professional basketball player, Five-time All-Star and two-time PBA Mythical Team, he did not win the Most Valuable Player award because he did not managed to complete a full season due to the many injuries he suffered on the court. For the national team he won bronze in the Asian games in 1986 and silver in 1990, for the Southeast Asian games he won gold in 83 and 85

Garly Sojo was born in Caracas and died in the same city at the age of 24. He was a promising player in Venezuelan basketball as he won the LPB Most Valuable Player award in 2022. Sojo played for the Venezuelan national team at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. died of an epileptic seizure on December 22, 2023. played for the Venezuela Under-21 National Team at the FIBA Under-21 South American Championship in Tunja, Colombia in August 2019

Viktor Volodymyrovych Kobzisty was born in Kremenchuk, Poltava region and died in Lviv at the age of 44, was a Ukrainian international-class basketball player, coach and master of sports from Ukraine, played for the Ukrainian national team in the European Championship finals in 2001 and 2005. He was killed by a Russian missile attack

Earl Cureton, who played with the Philadelphia 76ers (1980-1983), Chicago Bulls (1986-1987), and the Houston Rockets (1994) amongst others, has died aged 66. NBA Champion in ‘83 with the 76ers and ‘94 with the Rockets.

Damn.  My father and I attended University of Detroit basketball games for about 4 years, and Cureton was a player during that era.  He was going to be a big scoring center but he was barely average.  He actually did better in the NBA imo.

Jim Rowinski was born in Long Island, New York, died at age 63, began his NBA career in 1988 with the Detroit Pistons and until 1990 with the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat

To follow up on this, here's Pollard posting on X/Twitter from his ICU bed, revealing that he's awaiting said transplant and is on a donor list, classified as a stage 2, he says.
