Sir Creep 7,070 Posted February 27, 2018 A convicted murderer serving life in prison was killed shortly after escaping from a work detail in North Carolina when he crashed a stolen pickup truck, authorities say. David Woods, 46, bolted his outside work assignment from Gaston Correctional Center on Monday and was reported missing just before 1 p.m. He was killed approximately 90 minutes later when he crashed the truck at an exit off Interstate 85. The truck that Woods stole had belonged to the city of Lowell. It flipped over several times before landing in a ravine, and he died at the scene. Sir Creep 7,070 Posted March 5, 2018 A Rosenberg man has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly shot at another man wearing a bulletproof vest at a party in the Heights, Houston police said. The accused shooter, Jason Griffin, 39, has also been charged with felon in possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of body armor. Officers were dispatched early Sunday to a garage apartment in the 300 block of West 23rd, where a man had been shot in the chest. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Homicide investigators were working to determine whether the incident was the result of a dare. The Blount County Sheriff’s Office reported that the 21- and 23-year-old sons were shot Thursday night after attempting to take away a gun from their father causing a struggle to ensue. Guyguy Salvador, 21, rode the fairground attraction with four friends after finishing work in Surigao del Sur in the Philippines on July 26. It is understood that she was exhausted after a long day and had fallen asleep inside the gondola when her long black hair got sucked into the ride’s machinery.
