DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted June 17, 2010 Speaking of Devon Death Trips; how many hardy Exeter City fans will make the massive round trip to Carlisle on 28 December, and will any succumb to the winter weather or fatigue of the motorway miles? Home win IMHO. Yep, I reckon home win as well - it's hard to play our brand of total football on boggy winter pitches . Can't see more than 150 - 200 max making the trip at the very most. It does make for a very, very long day. Talking of the fixture list, we've got Plymouth Argyle as our last home match of the season. I predict a riot. maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted June 21, 2010 How far is that exactly as the Bird drives? 693 miles exactly from stadium to stadium and back, making it the longest round trip in the English and Welsh game this season. Carlisle vs Torquay, which has happened many times over the years, is the longest possible amongst 'senior' teams, at least until Helston or somewhere else fight their way into the league. So, as the Bird drives, if we assume 12 deaths per 45 miles and only one suicide at the end of the journey, we're looking at around 95 bodies strewn along the M5 and M6. Top boffins at Cumbria University are already working on this calculation, when they're not reading the local press about the closure threat to their own institution. The main variable appears to be the location, with CCTV, restricted exit points and easy police access to the area via helicopter random shootings on a motorway appear easier to apprehend, but - then again - the proximity of many vehicles and the possibility of collateral death, via motorway pile up means one or more coaches could become involved, driving the death toll higher even if early apprehension of the gunman were achieved. Go well - on 28 December
Rotten Ali 600 Posted July 2, 2010 Steven Gerrard seems to be the subject of alot if internet gossip at the moment... Is that, like, quite abit, but not aton? Awesome. Oh, how this disappointed me DDT. You slid down one of the longest snakes on my board of my estimation there. Upon further consideration, slightly precious response deleted. This article and quotes went very quiet after the 27th April - then exploded again from the 27th June - very strange!!!

maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted August 14, 2010 What's tough is shading the possession and set-pieces, sneaking the lead and then conceding an equaliser in the 94th minute. Still, can't complain since we're 4th in the league.
philheybrookbay 439 Posted August 15, 2010 According to my mate, Carlisle were bloody unlucky to say the least. My lot got a draw at Colchester- which I'll take.
Terminator 13 Posted August 16, 2010 Footballer held over nightclub 'glassing' Josh Scott, 25, was arrested on suspicion of GBH after the 22-year-old fell to the dance floor of the Mayfair Club in Dover Street in the early hours of Sunday. The woman, who was reported to have lost several teeth, was treated in hospital and discharged. Scott, a striker for Dagenham and Redbridge, was bailed pending further inquiries to return to court early next month.
maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted August 22, 2010 Didn't we debate which team to 'adopt' a while back? One candidate would surely be the team beloved of some of the regulars on my favourite Carlisle United site. Fort William FC, ever reliable desperados of the Scots equivalent of the Blue Square Premiership. Up to their usual tricks this weekend with an 8 goal pasting. Spade_Cooley 9,518 Posted September 11, 2010 Seriously, League 1 teams, sort it out. You're really going to let the Posh go up? Although between Franchise, Notts County, Charlton and the Saints, it's not exactly a division ram-packed with likeable teams.

Plenty of money (his) knowing the right stylists ( through his fame) and choosing the right causes to champion and lead (courtesy of being thrust into the limelight by marriage to him) has significantly contributed to her stock. Hey, had she not met Wayne, she would have met Jezza or summat, married him and, probably be living in a terraced house in Kirkby. Wayne, on the other hand, would still be playing for UTD. Thats showbusiness! PS: Maybe she feels that she should have married Jezza instead of Wayne, in view of recent events. Then again...nah.
