Sorry to report that Camel keyboardist Guy LeBlanc has died after a battle with cancer. The 54-year-old was forced to sit out the band's tour dates last year after being diagnosed with kidney cancer which later spread to his bones.

Edit: Fun fact, Dieter Moebius has an english Wikipedia page, but not a german one. Krautrock was always loved more by the international music scene than at home, with the exception of, maybe, La Düsseldorf. There's almost no overlap between the group of german pop stars famous at home and those famous abroad. Or does any english person know Helene Fischer?

One for our US contingent. Reported here is the death of Jerry Corbetta, frontman of the psych rock band Sugarloaf, who had a couple of hits in the 1970s. So, wtihout boring you too much - I spend most of one year compiling the opening radio show for the new on and that show is our "List of the Lost" wherein we feature those who died the previous year.

 

Let's just say the revisions on the running order as we put the script together have been taxing and we've already negotiated a longer show than is usually scheduled.

 

Next prob - is ELP a fitting tribute to E and L or do we throw in Greg in his King Crimson pomp instead (which I'm up for doing by way of playing Cadence and Cascade)
