Sir Creep 7,070 Posted February 2, 2022 A bolt of lightning that stretched nearly 500 miles across three U.S. states is the new world record holder for longest flash. The single flash extended 477.2 miles across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi in April 2020, the World Meteorological Organization said Monday. That beat the old record set in 2018 in Brazil of 440.6 miles. SC

Philheybrookbay1 247 Posted February 16, 2022 To be fair Dudley has been a damp squib here, wet and a tad blowy. But Eunice has all the hallmarks of a beast in the making. Sting jet, 100mph gusts right on school rush hour. Even the BBC weather guys normally meek are saying it could be the worst storm in decades (since Burns Day storm in Jan 1990).
