Loudest thunder and lightning tonight. power going out everywhere, and "police activity in the right of way delaying the train 45 minutes." From previous experiences I've had with the "police activity" euphemism, it meant someone was hit by the train, and it was a several hours delay. If that is the case again, I really don't know why they don't just say to people: "police activity, seek alternate routes."

And I was right: a car and a train collided.

The dramatic drop from ~80 degrees Saturday to ~30 degrees yesterday was too much for me. Tomorrow is 50s so I'll leave the house then.

Getting kitchen done, so I can either go outside or hear bang-bang-bang-bang 9 hours a day for the next 7 days.

It's raining on 6 out of 7 days.

This time last year I was having barbecues outside at 10pm.

The weather is often awful in June.  People only remember the good ones.

Awful in June is fine, but it has been solidly wet since...October? November? I mean, we've had a nice week here or there, but it has been really soggy over the past 9 months or so.

There's a drain in the middle of this picture. See if you can spot it. I might have to go outside with a pointy stick.

It has been high 90's the last few days and the forecast calls for another week or so of 100+ on the heat index.

Rain > Heat.

Hottest day of the year so far and i'm going to a wedding reception on a Monday evening. I'm sweating buckets and my parents are both taking me just so they have use of the car air conditioner.

I woke up to a thunderstorm this morning and it's been cloudy every since, it must all be down south because it's the coolest it's been all week where I am.
