He didn't say "entire four years", he said: “Fortunately I won’t be around to experience the four years.”
MortalCaso 1,640 Posted November 14 4 minutes ago, Mango said: He didn't say "entire four years", he said: “Fortunately I won’t be around to experience the four years.” Directly from the article, "Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke has said he is glad he “won’t be around” to experience the full duration of Donald Trump’s second term as president." Sure seems as if he was saying the entire four years! Either way it wasnt worth bumping his thread you fruit.

Alright Heath, but that's the Guardian's interpretation, not what he "specified", as you put it.

That's a suspicious tribute, and soon after the health concerns. I can definitely see it. He also jokingly made many health-related statements that might not mean much individually, but the message was always that he was not feeling well, that he would not be around to witness Trump's second term, etc. Granted, he is very old, but he seems healthy-looking enough.

Lafaucheuse 4,080 Posted December 9 I don’t think he’s on his deathbed yet. He’s 99 after all but still walks by himself, talks really well and overall looks good. The thing is we just had high standards with him because he used to look fantastic not that long ago and now he’s more… looking like his age ! But let’s face it, he’s in way better condition than most of the 99 yo out there. Not to say he should be dropped next year however
ladyfiona 2,658 Posted December 9 I met an 100 year old woman today who was a patient but she could walk and talk like someone who was 25 years younger than her. Then I meet patients who are 60 who look like they are 90.
