Wasn’t extremely old nor have a known illness that looked fatal. It was just luck he died on a year when he was not on the list.

Oddly enough he popped into my head in the same context while I was waking up this morining.

You are only saying that because he had previously appeared on the Deathlist.  In fact there was never a good reason for him to be a DL pick as he was always fit and healthy at the time.

His illness was brief and it was only made known a few days ago.
