Means that there's only one living of the Taiwan's Four Heavenly Kings of Buddhism:

Hsing Yun (1927-2023)

Wei Chueh (1928-2016)

Sheng-yen (1931-2009)

Cheng Yen (1937)

As far as I know Cheng Yen has a congenital heart disease and angina but is otherwise doing fine.

Well, he shouldn’t be down here anyway. Clear off.

Another dirty Yahoo QO:

Though I strongly suspect that he'll get something else, it's just that Yahoo is often the fastest.

Hsing Yun has had a Daily Mail Obit for hours: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-11717421/Hsing-Yun-Buddhist-abbot-built-universities-dies-95.html

The Daily Mail obits don't always appear for me - maybe a location issue. I have been unable to find these oobits even with extremely narrow searches - I think it's the wire articles that have this problem for me, not the regular Daily Mail articles.

No worries.

Add this link to your favourites: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/search.html?offset=0&size=50&sel=site&searchPhrase=died&sort=recent&days=all

You can also add one for "dies" as well if you are that way minded.

KH Ali Yafie improving somewhat and can talk again, but in unstable condition. Earlier he was "very critical" or something and stopped breathing. There's water in his lungs, he has "spots on his heart", edema, chronic health conditions...improving or simply terminal lucidity?

Updated for the death of Diane Hegarty, mentioned above.

Chuanyin (1927-) Taiwan, oldest Taiwanese buddhist leader. Seemingly a slightly older, less frail version than Hsing Yun but I have to admit I know nothing about his health history.

Chuanyin dead at 96.
