Sir Creep 7,072 Posted August 6, 2015 Legendary Tuscaloosa golfer Oswill McGee Jackie Cummings died Saturday at age 80. Cummings won the 1990 U.S. Senior Amateur and was the No. 1-ranked senior amateur in the world that year. He won three Alabama State Amateur championships and played in the U.S. Senior Open seven times. Oh but wait it gets better (if you've read this fucking far you deserve a 'happy ending'). "Cummings was godfather to local golfer Dicky Pride, who has played professionally for more than two decades." That's right: DICK PRIDE. My favourite sports name ever! So a guy named CUMMINGs was Godfather to Dick Pride You can't make that shit up! Do I win some kinda DL site award for 2015 for best obit? Banshees Scream 110 Posted September 28, 2015 I surpassed my expectations at miniature golf recently but that doesn't mean golf still isn't an old mans game to me. In fact, golf is not an interest of mine but after a few drinks it was fun.

Sir Creep 7,072 Posted February 27, 2016 Jason Bohn was taken to a hospital after suffering a mild heart attack following a second-round 72 at the Honda Classic on Friday. Pistol Knight 49 Posted February 28, 2016 I note that Peter Alliss celebrated his 85th birthday today....You have to wonder when he will be "under par" and be leader in the clubhouse......Mmm "a final round with Alliss" there might be a revival of his television series in the offering with that title. CoffinLodger 1,248 Posted September 26, 2016 I'm watching some of the early, pre-event coverage of the Masters on Sky Sports (well, I'm watching as much as I can take before I start feeling unwell) and they showed a bit of footage of the retired "legends" twatting around in the traditional pre-tournament "Par 3 challenge", whatever that is. Arnold Palmer (b. 1929) is looking really doddery. A few minutes ago he only just managed get his ball over the water and onto the next part of the course. The deluded crowd gave him a huge cheer - despite the fact that it was about 15 yards from the green and it wasn't too far from the point where it would have rolled back down an incline and into the water, they reacted as though he had landed it two inches from the hole or something. And just as I'm typing this he hit one into the water, way short of land. If he shows up to this despite being clearly unable to play, I think there's a high chance he's the kind of person who will drop dead on a course sometime. Either way I think he should be on the 2015 DL. I can't see him lasting to see too many more of these old-timers showcases. Especially if Michael Douglas ever shows up on his home course while dressed in a combat outfit and carrying a shotgun. if only we'd taken your advice !
