99.9% of the obits from the Mail are not published in the Mail. They do appear online. No difference with the Independent now imo.

 

However, we live with the rules, our picks die by the rules.

Vernon Vanriel, a turn-of-the-70s lightweight who retired with a 22-10-3 record, wouldn't normally be on any radars. However, he's been caught up in the Windrush Generation farrago, and has been living in poverty for 13 years. Boxing figures are trying to get him back to the UK, but even that might be troublesome as he has unspecified "severe illnesses".

WTH do you people search 'dies/dead' or 'terminally ill' in foreign tongues?  How else would you discover these obits etc?  Patently Unfair!  No wonder I don't stand a chance.
