Leach has been revealed to suffered a massive heart attack, with no one finding him until 10 or 15 minutes after suffering the attack as well as possibly a seizure. Sounds extremely likely to have suffered brain damage.

Leach was quite the character. College football simply won’t be the same without him.

Why?  Just why?

It was more about the need to post such information 10 days before the start of a new season

Tbf I think that the coverage is widespread enough that somebody would’ve posted it whether you wanted it to or not. We’re far past the days of Bob Benmosche being completely unmentioned despite his cancer diagnosis

Steelers Hall of Famer Franco Harris has died at 72:

https://www.wtae.com/article/steelers-hall-of-famer-franco-harris-dead-at-72/42304035

Quite inconvenient as he was supposed to speak at a 50-year anniversary event of his "Immaculate Reception (?)" in a few days. Must have been out of the blue.

I’m more annoyed because my team’s in already and I have to make this up with potential uniques.

Terry Bradshaw posted a pic of them together from a couple of weeks ago, Franco Harris looked fit and well. Wasn’t on the radar at all with any health issues.

This is completely unexpected, yes.  He literally was doing interviews yesterday about the impending game and ceremony on Saturday.  The Steelers are playing the Raiders on the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception, and the Steelers are retiring his #32 jersey either before or during the game.

Dying after a few days in hospice is the rule. It was a HUGE exception when Floyd Little lasted a whole month in hospice only to die on the 1st of January.

High-end dead pools are not won by picks who get their cancer reported on TMZ. That might work when you're playing in your work pool and your competitors' lists are "Lindsay Lohan, Keith Richards, is Leslie Nielsen still alive?", but these are the big leagues.
