Bela Karolyi, acclaimed multiple medal winning coach with Romania and the US, dead at 82.

Undoubtedly most famous here in the U.S. for carrying an injured Kerri Strug off the mat, after she completed what she believed to be the gold medal-clinching vault for Team USA at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.

Died since list above was made but not included on it :

Christian Brac, who was in 4x100m French relay for the 1948 games but did not actually run, died on 20 August aged 97. He doesn’t have a wiki page so I put his olympedia.

Unless he has died off radar, Brian Phelps (her husband) has outlived her. Mentioned here.

Singapore's first Olympic medallist, Tan Howe Liang, a weightlifter who won silver in 1960 (Rome), has died aged 91. He also won Gold at the 1962 Commonwealth Games.
