Long shot but can anyone help me find my avatar? I was drunkenly messing around with sign generators and my personal picture at the weekend and replaced it by mistake without saving the old one.

I thought I had a copy on Face-book, but no.

And I lost all the lovely photo-shopped seasonal variations kindly produced by Hein and Captain Oates in the Great Pancake and Maple Syrup / laptop incident of 2011.

My husband found the picture in 2005 before Google Images even existed!

It doesn't help that James Cameron, the bastard, released a film entitled "Avatar"

That's if anyone can even remember what it looked like. I'm not too sure myself

Right, I have a wireless router thing attached to the main PC in my bedroom, and off that I connect my wireless lap top to the internet, and my daughter's other PC to the internet with a pluggy in wireless thing.

 

I want to get rid of the main PC in my bedroom but still need the laptop and other PC to connect to the internet - is this possible and what do I connect the router thing to if I get rid of the main PC?

If the router thingy is a wireless router thingy then you may not have to connect it to anything.

It's a router thing that is connected to both the modem and the main PC and plugs into a mains socket - when I unplug the main PC the internet disconnects on the laptop and other PC. If that helps.

It was much simpler than I thought - all I had to do was unplug the ethernet cable from the router and the main PC

Anyway - it all seems to be working fine, but for one reason or another it won't let me watch youtube videos. All I get is a blank black rectangle where the video should be. I'm sure there will probably be a really obvious solution, but I'm rubbish with computers.

 

Any ideas on how to fix this?

It's still not working on Internet Explorer. It won't let me download the most recent Adobe Flash Player.

The answer certainly isn't two - it has to be one or three.

 

You either have to accept:

1. It will only ever be one decapitated worm.

2. You saw one worm to begin with, then you created another two worms by decapitating the original.

 

It can't be two because when you decapitate it, how do you decided which is the original worm and which is the new worm. They both must count as new worm under that circumstance, or as being the same single original worm?

Hehe, it does smell that way, but it ain't pears. I'm not allergic to pears, but I am sensitive to certain accessories of modern post-industrial revolution life, like Febreeze, Tide, certain perfumes, hairspray, bug spray, scented candles, etc. The usual stuff (pollen, dust, mold, cat and dog fur, etc.) doesn't seem to bother me at all.
